The President of Costa Rica’s Football Association, Rodolfo Villalobos, FIFA Deputy General Secretary Alasdair Bell, FIFA Chief Legal & Compliance Officer Emilio García Silvero and representatives from FIFA’s member associations, the confederations, as well as governance and compliance experts from the world of football will gather - the majority in person - for the first time since the global pandemic to look at compliance in a different way. The participants will build on the topics explored at the third FIFA Compliance Summit in 2020, where FIFA presented best-practice tools with which to help build modern compliance programmes, including the FIFA Compliance Handbook. The 2022 Summit will equip member associations of all capacities and means with practical tools to take their compliance programmes “Beyond Best Practice”, beyond written policy and procedure to influencing organisational culture.

The FIFA member associations will touch upon the notion of shifting the paradigm of the modern compliance programme to one that embraces not only robust and sustainable policies, but a shared mindset as well. On 26 September from 17:00 till 20:00 CET, there will be a three-hour livestream on FIFA.com with key note speakers, including Ronan O’Laoire (Responsible for UNODC Programme on Safeguarding Sport from Corruption and Crime), J. Trevor Hughes (President and CEO, International Association of Privacy Professionals IAPP) and H. Christopher Boehning (litigation partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP). These sessions will be followed by a carefully tailored agenda, including working sessions on strategies to influence corporate culture, digital disclosure and panel discussions with confederations and member associations.

To watch the opening of the 4th FIFA Compliance Summit, join live from 09:00 CST / 11:00 ET / 17:00 CET.
